Activities organized to bring a happy Tet to disadvantaged workers
(VOVWORLD) - Politburo member and standing member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Vo Van Thuong, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, and Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang on Saturday presented gifts to disadvantaged workers in Hai Phong to bring them a happy Tet.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc has delivered 100 Tet gifts to people in Cao Son commune, Da Bac district, Hoa Binh province. The same day, Hoa Binh authorities and donors presented 1,400 Tet gifts to the poor and disadvantaged people in the province.
On Sunday , Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai visited and presented gifts to several beneficiaries of social policies, poor families and workers in disadvantaged circumstance in the southern provinces of Ca Mau and Long An on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year.
The Labor Federation of HCM City and District 7 organized a New Year program and presented 650 Tet gifts to disadvantaged families and 2,000 gifts to trade union members and workers who are poor and have critical diseases.
The Labor Federation of the city's Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks have given gifts and air and train tickets to nearly 8,000 trade union members to return home for Tet.
