The Tay Son district in the central province of Binh Dinh has celebrated the 223^rd anniversary of Ngoc Hoi Dong Da victory by King Nguyen Hue. Thousands of visitors have flocked to the relic site to recall the merits of the Tay Son’s brothers in defeating foreign invaders. The festival included traditional folklore games and kungfu performances. Hanoi ’s Dong Da Cultural Park held a celebration the same day on Friday to mark the 223^rd anniversary, which was hailed as one of the most glorious victories of the Vietnamese people. Deputy Chairwoman of Dong Da District People’s Committee, Ha Thi Le Nhung:“We have designed an art performance to recreate the victory to encourage local people to promote their patriotism. We hope it will turn into more efficient production and better implementation of socio economic and political missions this year.”
