(VOVworld) – A blood donation day was held at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi on Saturday to respond to 2015 Red Journey blood donation campaign. The event was expected to collect 2,000 blood units.

In July, the Red Journey campaign was held in 21 localities and managed to collect around 20,000 blood units, which help reduce blood scarcity for medical treatment this summer. The campaign also helped to set up a “mobile blood bank” on Ly Son island district in Quang Ngai province. As part of the program, 500 gifts were presented to poor Thalasssemia patients.
