Bringing the revised Land Law to life

(VOVworld) – The General Department of Land Administration under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will focus on building documents to guide the implementation of the revised Land Law.

The agency will also complete a number of draft decrees based on recommendations and opinions contributed by localities and related organizations. This was agreed to at Friday conference of the General Department of Land Administration to review activities in 2013 and set tasks for the New Year. Minister Nguyen Minh Quang spoke at the event: "Although we’ve gained significant results in 2013, this is just the beginning, as tasks set for the government management on land issues remain tremendous. People’s current top concerns include land acquisition, compensation for resettlement, and land price, which require much attention and efforts from our sector."
The conference’s reports show that in 2013, the General Department of Land Administration has fulfilled its tasks as a consultant to the Ministry, the National Assembly and Government, in the issuance of many legal documents to improve state management in land administration. This includes the revised Land Law approved the 6th session of the 13th National Assembly meeting which will come into effect on the 1st of July.
