Andrew Burns, lead author of the WB’s report, said 4 years after the global financial crisis, the global economy remains in difficulties. Developing economies, which have been continuing the global driving force, have recorded slower growth rates. The Bank forecasts that global gross domestic product will inch up 2.4 per cent this year, 3.1% next year, and 3.3% in 2015.
