Ho Dynasty Citadel receives title of ‘World Cultural Heritage Site’

(VOVworld)-The Royal Ho Dynasty Citadel in the central province of Thanh Hoa  receives the title of ‘World Cultural Heritage Site’ at a ceremony on Saturday. UNESCO recognised the Ho Dynasty Citadel in the central province of Thanh Hoa as a World Cultural Heritage Site in an official announcement made at the 35th Session of the World Heritage Committee in Paris last June.

The Citadel was once the capital of Vietnam more than 600 years ago and it was classified as National Relics in 1962. Deputy Chairman of Thanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee, Vuong Viet Van:“It’s a great honor to receive the title “World Cultural Heritage Site” for the Ho dynasty citadel. We have committee to UNESCO a list of activities to preserve and promote the value of the heritage site.”Many cultural activities based on the Ho Dynasty will take place during the weekend, including a cultural festival of local ethnic groups and a photo exhibition on the citadel.
