Mr. Dam made the statement at Wednesday’s national teleconference in Hanoi to review the sector’s performance this year and set tasks for next year and plans until 2025.

He underscored the need to build a database on land resources and continue to improve platforms to serve epidemic prevention.

“Next year, building a database is vital. It’s important to make full use of the newly established population database to serve people. Once the database on enterprises is upgraded, it will save time for businesses,” said Mr. Dam.

This year, Vietnam climbed 2 places in the Universal Postal Union (UPU) integrated index for postal development 2021 to rank 47th of 168 countries. All communes have set up manned postal service points.

Vietnam ranks 5th in ASEAN in television digitization. Commercial 5G trials have been licensed in 16 provinces and cities, and Vietnam’s 300 5G stations have an average speed 10 times faster than 4G.
