(VOVworld) - The National Tourism Year themed “The Red River Delta civilization” opened Friday night in Hai phong city. Culture and Tourism Week of the Red River Delta and Hai Phong and the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival are the highlights.  During the Culture and Tourism Week from May 9 to 18, there will more than 30 events: street carnivals, performance of folk songs of the Red river delta and water puppetry show. Vice Chairman of the Haiphong City People’s Committee, Le Khac Nam, says: “Thousands of people, students and artists will participate in a gala night on May 11. Our message to visitors is that Hai Phong is a safe, friendly and hospitable destination. Tourists are warmly welcomed to Hai Phong and will return to this city”.  

On Saturday, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and Hai Phong city’s People’s Committee opened the 26^th national photo exhibition. A tourism fair and book exhibition opened on Friday night.
