Over 2 billion VND raised for AO victims in Da Nang

(VNA/VOVworld) - More than 2 billion VND (96,000 USD) and 900 gift packages were raised for Agent Orange (AO)/dioxin victims in Da Nang at a music performance held in Da Nang on Sunday. The performance, called “Spring for children”, was jointly organized by the Da Nang Association for AO/dioxin Victim (DAVA), Da Nang Newspaper, and Da Nang Television on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year festival. DAVA President Nguyen Thi Hien said: The “Spring for children” program encourages donors to help AO/dioxin victims celebrate the Tet festival. Gifts for AO/dioxin patients at care centers also give spiritual encouragement to victims living outside the centers. We call on the entire society to join hands to bring a joyful Tet to AO/dioxin victims.
