(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, who is also Chairman of the Central Council for Emulation and Reward, chaired the 45th meeting of the Council to review 2011 performance and set out 2012 tasks. At Thursday’s meeting in Hanoi, PM Dung said in 2011, emulation movement helped successfully achieve major national targets such as macro-economic stabilization, inflation control, social welfare, security and defence enhancement. He said 2012 emulation movement should closely follow the implementation of socio-economic tasks. The PM asked the Council’s members to strengthen information and communications and replicate role models in work and production: "To improve emulation movement and the Council’s performance, it’s necessary to pay attention to 5 tasks and measures of 2012. They are to boost patriotic emulation movement since early this year, complete a Politburo plan on the reform of emulation and reward work, instruct relevant agencies and localities to revise the Law on Emulation and Reward after reviewing its 8- year implementation. The plan on the reform of emulation and reward work is needed as problems have been arising".
At the meeting, PM Dung heard reports of the members of the Central Council for Emulation and Reward and discussions on the plan on the reform of emulation and reward work.
