Russia’s October Revolution marked in Ho Chi Minh city

(VOVworld) – A ceremony to mark the 95th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution took place Tuesday in Ho Chi Minh City. The event was held by the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Organization to recall the historical 10 days that rocked the entire world. The uprising of Russian workers and peasants, under the leadership of Vladimir Ilich Lenin and the Bolshevik Party, overthrew the Tsarist regime and established the first ever proletarian state on earth, opening up a new chapter of the world history. The revolution had a significant influence on Vietnam’s liberation wars and its development. It acts as the premise for Vietnam and Russia’s traditional friendship.
