(VOVworld) – A conference to review science and technology-related activities in the implementation of a party resolution on agriculture, farmers and rural areas opened in Hanoi on Tuesday.

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and more than 150 leading scientists and managers attended the event. Chairman Hung stressed the important role of science and technology in the country’s agricultural development: “Production should be based on market developments. Science plays an important role in the production of high-tech products and it’s essential to establish product chains.”

The same day, Chairman Hung visited 18 stands showcasing products from the Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
