The author of the book Nguyen Khac Huynh is a former Ambassador and member of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam’s delegation at the Paris conference. The 200-page publication consists of articles, research, and presentations which were introduced at conferences inside and outside Vietnam.  Nguyen Khac Huynh says: "This is not my first book. I wrote many newspaper articles and presentations before. My research coincides with our 40th celebration of the Paris Peace Accords. My research on the Paris negotiations reflects some issues that no-one has ever mentioned and known."

The Paris negotiation and Accords are considered a diplomatic art in the Ho Chi Minh era, a milestone in the national history. It was the longest negotiation in the world’s diplomatic struggle. It was a fierce and complicate battle on the diplomatic front. Vietnam won the negotiation which contributed to its complete victory in 1975 to liberate the south for national reunification.
