Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan on Saturday attended a commemoration of the Hai Ba Trung (Trung Sisters) uprising against the ruling of the northern invaders 1972 years ago in Vinh Phuc province.
Mrs. Doan urged the local authority and people to further promote the tradition of unity in fulfilling socio-economic tasks including building new rural areas, upgrading infrastructure, reducing poverty rate, and improving education quality. The Trung Sisters Festival takes place until next Monday.
