Every year, the organization implements about 30 projects worth more than 800 billion dong. Nguyen Huu Hong, Vice President of Vietnam Red Cross Society, says: “Vietnam Red Cross Society is currently implementing two major programs. The Blood donation program aims to help patients and the Cow Bank program is to help disadvantaged people. Since 2009, the organization has provided farmers with more than 7,000 cows and we hope to raise 100 billion VND to buy cows for poor farmers, especially those in border areas”.

On the occasion, many humanitarian activities are held to raise funds to help poor people and mobilize people to donate blood.
