(VOVworld)-The Women’s Union in Da Nang city has held an event to honor gender equality and family participation in community activities in response to the Vietnam Family Year and Family Day on June 28.

More than 2,000 women’s union members participated in various activities and contests on family related knowledge. Chairwoman of the city women’s union, Do Thi Kim Linh: “The festival aims to promote family prosperity, happiness and advancement based on gender equality while boosting family engagement in social and community activities. I hope this is an opportunity for families to learn from each other and promote their role in family life.”

On this occasion, Ho Chi Minh City held a cooking contest and an exchange programs with different generation in extended families.
