The Government’s policies to stabilize the macro-economy have proven efficient.

(VOV) - Standard & Poor, the US global rating firm revised Vietnam’s outlook from negative to stable, citing the government’s successful drive to bring down the rocketing inflation.The ratings agency on Wednesday released a statement saying that it confirms Vietnam’s long-term sovereign credit rating at BB- with a stable outlook and the short-term rating at B. Last year, Vietnam refocused its efforts from economic growth to economic stability to deal with price rises and other challenges, including dwindling foreign reserves, a growing trade deficit and pressure on the dong. Thanks to continuously reducing the interest rate, the Vietnamese Government cut inflation to 8.3% last month.
