Vietnamese Year in France concludes

(VOVworld) – Vietnamese Ambassador to France Duong Chi Dung said this is the first time Vietnam has been promoted on a large scale to French friends.

At the closing ceremony in Paris on Monday of Vietnamese Year in France 2014, Ambassador Dung said the success of the Vietnamese Year in France signaled a bright future for bilateral relations. Dung noted that the Vietnamese culture was welcomed all over France.

Deputy Foreign Minister Vu Hong Nam attributed the year’s success to its largest scale ever and the involvement of many young people, who will strengthen the bilateral friendship. Nam said: “The successful Vietnamese Year in France 2014 will bolster our growing bilateral ties, with loads of big events ahead. I believe its influence will continue to spread, helping to unite our two peoples.”

The closing ceremony entertained participants with a show of traditional Vietnamese long dresses (ao dai) designed by 3 renowned Vietnamese designers - Lan Huong, Viet Hung, and Minh Hanh.
