(VOVworld) - The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized a state funeral for General Vo Nguyen Giap at the National Funeral House in Tran Thanh Tong street in Hanoi. From 7:30 to 12:00, delegations from the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Military Central Party Committee, relatives of General Vo Nguyen Giap, party and state leaders, former senior party and state leaders and foreign leaders, the Hanoi party committee, the Hanoi people’s committee, the Hanoi fatherland Front, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, international guests and the diplomatic corps, and Vietnamese war veterans pay tribute to General Giap.

From 12:00 to 15:00 will be time for delegations from ministries, sectors, organizations and localities to pay their tributes. The period between 15:00 and 21:00 will be reserved for ordinary people.
Simultaneous funeral services will be held at the headquarters of the people’s committee of Quang Binh province and the Independence Palace in Ho Chi Minh city.
