Political stability strengthened to boost national development

(VOVWORLD) - Political stability is a necessary and important condition for national development.  Vietnam has achieved political stability thanks to the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The Party's recent handling of officials who violated Party discipline had the sole purpose of strengthening the Party and fulfilling its leadership, thereby creating long-term stability for national development.

In recent years, under the leadership of the Party headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Vietnam has been resolutely and vigorously carrying out the fight against corruption with no exceptions.

No restricted areas, no exceptions

The fight against corruption and negativity has contributed to building and rectifying the Party, purifying the apparatus, and creating a foundation for future tenures to better achieve the goals of the ruling Party.

In the past three years, many key senior leaders of the Party have resigned following inspections which revealed that they had not fulfilled their political responsibilities to the Party and the people. From the perspective of responsibility, the principle of "no restricted areas" has been demonstrated at a high level, as no leader has been exempted from political responsibility.

The resignation of senior leaders and the Central Committee's approval to relieve them of their positions, send a message of the Party, which General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has reiterated several times, that in the fight against corruption and negativity there are no restricted areas.

A report summarizing voters' opinions and recommendations sent to the ongoing 7th session of the 15th National Assembly shows that voters appreciate the fight against corruption and negativity under the Party's leadership, headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who is Chairman of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Anti-Negativity.

They acknowledge the fight’s importance, with actions matching words, without any restricted areas or exceptions, regardless of who the individual is. Competent agencies have handled violators promptly and strictly but with fairness and compassion and have recovered many assets for the State.

Voters agree with and support the Party and State's handling of senior officials who violated Party regulations and did not fulfill their responsibilities, and they have confidence that the Party and State will tirelessly pursue this tough, complex struggle. The opinions of the voters manifest a strong trust in the Party and State.

Ensuring stability

Despite the rigorous implementation of anti-corruption and anti-negativity measures, Vietnam's political landscape remains stable, with the Party's policies and guidelines staying consistent. Over multiple terms, the Party has emphasized that changes in senior personnel and the disciplining of officials are aimed at purifying the Party to ensure its leadership role and position.

The Party prioritizes reinforcing its leadership team. At its recent 9th session, the 13th Party Central Committee discussed in a democratic manner, carefully considered, and obtained strong consensus on a plan to consolidate the positions of State President and Chairman of the National Assembly. The Party Central Committee proposed candidates for the Assembly to decide at the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly.

With a high rate of approval, the Party Politburo added Le Minh Hung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission, and Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education; Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission; and Do Van Chien, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

At its ongoing session, the NA elected General To Lam State President for the 2021-2026 term, and Tran Thanh Man Chairman of the 15th National Assembly, with very high approval rates. These outcomes underscore the Party's unity and consensus in striving to maintain stability for the country's development.

The Vietnamese people deeply value peace, independence, unity, and political stability for national development, and a peaceful life. For Vietnam, political stability is a crucial condition for protecting national independence and addressing both internal and external challenges. Vietnam is committed to maintaining this stability.
