(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc  today was the last cabinet member to answer at the National Assembly’s Q&A session. Earlier, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Minister of Planning and Investment, Minister of Industry and Trade and Minister of Public Security addressed voters’ questions about issues of great national concerns.

The Q&A session clarifies the responsibilities of a sector leader, helping resolve the issues up for discussion more effectively in accordance with the law and living up to the public’s aspirations. Q&A is the most anticipated part in every NA session and is where hot socio-economic issues are explained. Many voters highly appreciated the answers by Ministers about issues of public concern. Voter Le Thi Hoa from Pleiku city, Gia Lai province: "The Ministers answered directly and frankly to questions raised by NA deputies. The issue of public investment is rather scattered and not very practical in many localities. In my opinion, it is necessary to work out some measures so that public investment becomes more practical and effective".

The Q&A session between NA Deputies and Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang about electricity, petrol and market prices attracted attention of voters nationwide. As market prices are fluctuating unexpectedly, voters are concerned most about measures to stabilize the situation. Voter Vu Ngoc Luu from Son La city said the Minister’s answers satisfied the voters to some extent: "The Minister’s answers are constructive and conscientious, which gives us confidence in  the Ministry’s management". 

Meanwhile, Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang answered voters’ questions relating to security and social order. Despite the Ministry’s past efforts in fighting against crime and assuring national security, many voters pointed out the Ministry’s shortcomings including an increase in crimes among young people. Voter Tran Thai Hiep from Dong Thap province: "Social order is getting worse and worse in many rural areas. Some youths formed gangs and are the cause of social disorder. Moreover, some members of the police force lack ethics. There’s  a need to improve working styles and morality among officers".

With the issues of public investment management and distribution, land management and clearance, environmental pollution in traditional craft villages and measures to help companies in need, voters also expressed their hope and expectation that the NA and Government will do more to impede  corruption and squandering of funds. Voter Duong Hien Van from Da Nang city said: "I hope that following this Q&A session, Ministers as well as the Government will seek out core means to deal with corruption and wastefulness. Any violators should be identified and strictly punished, revenue should be used  properly to win people’s trust".
