Nguyen Dan Huy, Chairman of Truc Bach ward, said the online medical station will reduce overload at the ward medical station and increase support for COVID-19 patients and their families. 

The model uses Facebook to give ward residents information related to pandemic prevention and control measures, and provide a guide to therapeutic physical and mental exercises and patient care.

The official address of the Facebook page is Online Medical Station - Truc Bach Ward, and the station’s hotline number is 039.885.6892. The Facebook page is connected to the Zalo accounts of the ward’s People's Committee and residential groups. The online medical station will be available around the clock to answer people’s questions about COVID-19. The public can post questions on the fanpage or call the online medical station’s hotline, or the ward medical station, or the local People’s Committee.  

The medical station staff consists of 4 groups. One group is in charge of receiving communications from the public via fanpage, phone, or Zalo and delivering them to the 3 other groups. One group will deliver food, computer equipment, or other items to COVID-19 patients to help them work at home. One group will deliver medical care and medicines to patients. And one group will advise patients after they test negative for the SARS-CoV-2 virus and help them complete administrative papers. 

The ward medical station has 6 staff members. At one point they had to deal with 300 COVID-19 patients, arrange quarantines for many more F1 cases, and administer vaccinations to all ward residents. The online medical station will reduce the workload for these 6 frontline workers and improve support for the public during the ongoing pandemic.
