Ninh Thuan has invested in transport, irrigation, water supply and drainage, and essential cultural and social works projects. A number of large-scale projects have already been completed.
The Cam Lam-Vinh Hao road, one of three sub-projects of the North-South Highway project’s eastern wing, officially opened to traffic in April. The project, with a total length of 78.5 kilometers, connects the three coastal provinces of Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, and Binh Thuan. The 4-lane section through Ninh Thuan province is more than 63 km long.
Nguyen Van Vinh, Director of the provincial Department of Transportation, said thanks to the central government’s support and the attention of the provincial Party Committee and People's Committee, in recent years Ninh Thuan has focused its resources on transportation infrastructure to ensure that transportation can be the lifeblood of other developments. “Ninh Thuan has also invested in transport routes connected with the coastal National Highway 1,” Vinh noted.
By the end of last year, Ninh Thuan had built 370 kilometers of provincial and inter-district roads and almost 106 kilometers of coastal road from Binh Tien beach to Ca Na beach, basically completing the local transportation infrastructure.
Ninh Thuan has accelerated the road project connecting its Tan Son town in Ninh Son district with Ta Nang intersection in Duc Trong district of Lam Dong province to link the three provinces of Lam Dong, Ninh Thuan, and Khanh Hoa.
Nguyen Thanh Long, Deputy Director of the Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board of Ninh Thuan province, said, “With great support from the provincial Party Committee and the provincial People's Committee and the joint cooperation of local departments and sectors, the management board has focused resources on investment projects scheduled to be completed in 2025.”
To date, the road system in Ninh Thuan has been smoothly connected to all villages and communes. The coastal National Highway 1 and National Highway 27, plus the road connecting Tan Son and Ta Nang and the section of the North-South Highway running through Ninh Thuan, will make Ninh Thuan an economic exchange center with the Central Highlands, the Central Coast region, and the key economic region of the South and Southeast.
Thanh Son airport in Ninh Thuan has been included by the Prime Minister in the master plan for the development of the national airport network until 2030, with a vision to 2050. This will give Ninh Thuan five modes of transportation – roadway, railway, seaway, inland waterway and airway – opening up new growth drivers, promoting socio-economic development, and ensuring national defense and security.

Nguyen added, “We’ve advised the provincial administration to implement six investment projects for urban and residential areas in Ninh Thuan, thereby completing the necessary technical and social infrastructure in an effective manner.”
To develop an urban economy, modern urban technical infrastructure, especially in new urban areas, has been completed using multiple forms of investment.
