Vibrant Mid-Autumn Festival in Hanoi Le Chi – Bui Hang/VOV5 -   Wednesday, September 30, 2020 | 23:13:00 (VOVWORLD) - The Mid-Autumn festival is now jubilantly celebrated around Hanoi. This year, the festival falls on October 1st. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the celebration is not as big as in previous years. Yet, Hanoians are still excited about the festival. Hang Ma street is still colorful and crowded despite COVID-19. A wide range of toys and decorative items are offered at the shops Cororful lanterns are indispensable items at the festival Children and adults alike are attracted by the festive vibe on Hang Ma street. Dang Van Hau’s small stall offering To He toys grabs attention of many people. The figurines recall those who were born in 1980s of their childhood when To He toys were popular. An event to celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival themed “Sparkling full moon” was held at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage site in Hanoi. The traditional Full Moon Festival is featured in Hanoi. Visitors could see artisans make traditional star-shaped lanterns and prepare a traditional tray of items as worship offerings. Paper Doctor is the highlight of the Mid-Autumn feast tray.
