Under the theme "Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship in French" the summit focused on key issues, particularly the preservation and promotion of the French language and the broader Francophone community.

This year's summit also welcomed two new members: Ghana and Cyprus, expanding the global reach of the Francophone community. The International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) now comprises 88 countries and territories. It is one of the most influential global linguistic and cultural groups, spanning all five continents and encompassing over 320 million French speakers.

French is currently the fifth most spoken language in the world, and demographic experts predict that the number of Francophone community members will exceed 750 million by 2050.
