(VOVworld)- 30 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in their studies and work were honored at the 11^th Vietnam Glory program held on Friday in Hanoi. The program’s honorees included marine police, coast guardsmen, and fishermen who have persistently worked to persuade China to withdraw its oil rig Haiyang 981 and escort ships and planes from Vietnam’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and continental shelf.  At the award ceremony, President Truong Tan Sang congratulated the honorees and praised the program’s organizers for their efforts over the past decade. Sang repeated late President Ho Chi Minh’s June 1948 call for patriotic emulation and said that over the last 60 years. Vietnamese citizens from all walks of life have upheld the movement in national construction and development, contributing to the revolution’s success. Sang said: President Ho Chi Minh’s call for patriotic emulation has always been a strong motivation for people from all walks of life to contribute to the national renewal, construction, and defense. The movement’s many exemplary role models have performed good deeds for others to follow.
