Receiving parliamentarian André Flahaut, Minister of State and former President of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives, on Wednesday in Hanoi, Mr. Man  expressed his hope that the two sides will continue to coordinate closely and deploy practical forms of support in finance, technology, and human resource development to help Vietnam deal with the consequences of Agent Orange in some affected areas.

He also called for increased exchange of delegations at all levels, especially high-level, across all channels, including the Parliament.

The NA Vice Chairman said he hopes that the Belgian Chamber of Representatives will soon ratify the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) before the end of its term to maximize the potential for investment cooperation between the two countries.

He asked Belgium to support and urge the European Commission (EC) to soon remove the "IUU yellow card" for Vietnam's seafood exports, taking into account Vietnam's serious efforts to implement the EC's recommendations on sustainable fisheries.
