2016 Global Summit of Women concludes

(VOVworld) -  The 26th Global Summit of Women concluded Saturday in Warsaw, Poland, following a 3-day discussion themed “Women: Building an Inclusive Economy in the Digital Age”.

Vice President Thinh said she looks forward to further efforts to help women and children live in peace and prosperity (huffingtonpost.com)

At the closing ceremony, Vietnam’s Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh hailed the success of the summit and affirmed the role of women in developing the society stably and sustainably. Vice President Thinh said she looks forward to further efforts to help women and children live in peace and prosperity and called on women worldwide to unite for peace and friendly cooperation. She urged other nations to enhance dialogue and cooperation and resolve differences peacefully in accordance with international law.

Vice President Thinh met with representative of Poland’s women association and Secretary of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan Abdykalikova Gulshara.

Following the summit, she will attend the 32nd session of the UN Human Rights Council in Switzerland.
