(VOVWORLD) - 250 projects with a total investment of 50 billion USD were inaugurated or launched across Vietnam on Tuesday to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).

Party General Secretary To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the inaugural ceremony at the Vietnam Exposition Center in Hanoi.
The projects span multiple sectors, including transport, social housing, agriculture and rural development, culture and sports, education, healthcare, and national defense.
Speaking at the event, PM Pham Minh Chinh stressed that these are large-scale, technically sophisticated projects of strategic importance to socio-economic development, with strong participation from private enterprises.

“These projects hold strategic significance in reshaping national infrastructure, creating new development space, boosting regional and economic connectivity, fostering an attractive investment environment, generating jobs and livelihoods, and enhancing Vietnam’s global competitiveness,” he said.
PM Chinh expressed hope that each project would become a milestone, providing new cultural and social spaces for the people to enjoy.
