3rd round of India-Japan-US trilateral dialogue to open on Monday

(VOVworld)- India, Japan and the US will hold the 3rd round of their trilateral talk in New Delhi on Monday to discuss regional issues and global challenges. Indian Joint Secretary for East Asia Gautam Bambawale, Director of the External Policy Department of Japan’s Foreign Ministry Kenji Hiramatsu and Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Robert Flake will lead their delegations at the event. During the talks, they will discuss the regional security structure, and maritime security and share their views on China. They will also touch upon cooperation in fighting pirates, in the issues relating to Afghanistan and Myanmar and at the East Asia Summit to be held in Cambodia.  According to the US State Department, the India-Japan-US trilateral dialogue will become a forum for open and comprehensive consultations between the three countries through sharing values and common interest in the Asia Pacific region and the world at large.
