(VOVWORLD) -This year's Hue Festival follows a four-season orientation. The "Spring of the Ancient Capital" takes place from January to March; The "Summer Shining Capital" from April to June; "Hue in Autumn" from July to September; and "Winter in Hue" from October to December.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the People's Committee of Thua Thien-Hue province on Thursday held an international press conference to introduce Hue Festival.
The highlight is the Hue International Arts Festival Week, taking place from June 7 to June 12 themed "Cultural heritage with integration and development".
The program to be performed by prominent Vietnamese and international artists promises to bring viewers new and unique experiences in culture, history, and art. In addition, high-quality traditional and contemporary art shows from eight countries will be staged every night.
Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of Thua Thien-Hue Provincial People's Committee, said: “What is new in this year's Hue International Arts Festival Week is making the most use of architectural works in the Imperial Citadel, especially the space of Kien Trung Palace, a unique Imperial Palace which has just been restored.”
