The fifth India-ASEAN Delhi Dialogue concluded on Wednesday in New Delhi, India. The Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Pham Quang Vinh attended the conference. The topics of discussion for this year’s dialogue were ‘India-ASEAN Security Cooperation: Towards Peace and Stability, ‘Cooperation between Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and North-East India: Opportunities and Challenges,’ and ‘Expanding Networks through Connectivity: Land, Sea and Air.’ Indian Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid stressed that the topic of this year’s dialogue is ‘India- ASEAN: Outlook of Partnership and Prosperity’ which highlights the wishes of India and ASEAN in promoting strategic partnership for peace, progress and prosperity. ASEAN and India have been partners on meeting economic development and prosperity requirements. ASEAN Secretary General Le Luong Minh urged Indian and ASEAN officials to evaluate implementation of the action plan and action road-map from now until 2015.
