He made the statement during a visit to the Thuan Thanh Nursing Center for War Invalids in Bac Ninh Province, ahead of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).
The Party leader said that “paying gratitude” and “remembering the source of the water we drink” is not only a major national policy, but also a heartfelt command and an essential political and moral responsibility of the entire political system and society.
He expressed hope that war invalids and sick soldiers will continue to live happy, healthy lives, serving as powerful symbols of Vietnamese willpower, resilience, and patriotism, and as lasting inspiration for future generations.
The Thuan Thanh Nursing Center currently cares for 84 severely injured war invalids and sick soldiers from 13 provinces and cities across the country.
