Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzai has begun his official visit to India.

During the visit, he will discuss with Indian leaders the region’s security situation and call for more India’s support to Afghanistan’s national reconstruction. President Karzai is expected to have talk with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on a number of issues including assuring safety for Indian people and assets in Afghanistan, the role of India in assisting Afghanistan with security force training. He will also attend a meeting held by Confederation of Indian Industry in Mumbai and meet with leaders of Indian enterprises to search for more investment opportunities for Afghanistan.
