Art show celebrates 50th anniversary of Vietnam-France ties

(VOVWORLD) - The art show “Vietnamese Cultural Night” took place in Paris on Saturday as part of activities to celebrate 50 years of the establishment of Vietnam-France diplomatic relations and 10 years anniversary of their strategic partnership.

During the event, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that over the past 50 years, the two countries have been through many ups and downs, which led to the establishment of a strategic partnership in 2013.

“Both countries have made efforts to build a reliable political relationship, evident in the exchanges of visits between senior leaders, including the recent phone call between Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and French President Emmanuel Macron, affirming both sides’ commitment to enhancing cooperation across various domains," said Minister Hung.

Jérémy Bacchi, Senator and representative of the French Communist Party, expressed deep gratitude for the historical legacy of President Ho Chi Minh and his role in the establishment of the French Communist Party. 

"I’m so proud of the 50 years of bilateral cooperation between France and Vietnam. Both countries and their people have forged a deep, rich, and diverse economic and cultural relationship. This bilateral connection has grown significantly stronger over the past 50 years.”

“This year is an opportunity for various cultural exchange activities between the two countries. This program is a testament to the close relationship and mutual aspiration to promote the cultures of both nations."

The program showcased dances and folk songs from various Vietnamese ethnic groups, including the Lu, Dao, Cao Lan, Tay, and Kinh.
