PM: Vietnam hopes to become Samsung’s strategic production, export stronghold
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam hopes to become Samsung’s strategic production and export stronghold, said Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at a meeting with visiting Chief Finance Officer of Samsung Park Hark Kyu in Hanoi on Thursday.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Government always pays attention and attaches great importance to improving the investment environment, and is committed to creating favorable conditions for foreign enterprises to pursue long-term business in Vietnam.
Chinh said the Vietnamese government will continue to create favorable conditions for the Samsung Group to operate effectively and develop sustainably in Vietnam with the spirit of “harmonizing interests and sharing risks".
The PM said Vietnam is implementing three strategic breakthroughs aiming to reduce compliance costs and input costs for businesses, and help them increase competitiveness.
CFO of the Samsung Group Park Hark Kyu said that Samsung has and will invest in supporting industries and training human resources for Vietnamese businesses.
The Group will help Vietnamese businesses participate in Samsung's production and supply chain and wishes to contribute to Vietnam's import-export turnover and overall economic development.
