At G20 Summit, Vietnam’s PM proposes strategic guarantees for growth
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed a set of strategic guarantees to promote inclusive, sustainable growth and ensure no one is left behind, as he addressed the 2025 G20 Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Saturday.

He emphasized the importance of stability as the foundation for international relations, and global politics and macroeconomy.
The PM said the G20 should lead efforts to build cooperation mechanisms based on mutual respect; seek solutions to conflicts; create favorable conditions for development; coordinate policies to prevent systemic risks; limit trade barriers; reduce supply-chain fragmentation; and advance debt-swap initiatives to help safeguard global stability.
PM Chinh called on the G20 to step up cooperation and avoid the politicization of science and trade; support developing countries through fairer trade policies and balanced interests; develop an efficient financial system; and strengthen digital-transformation capacity, meeting countries’ sustainable development needs. He also stressed the need for comprehensive and effective WTO reform.
He further highlighted the importance of adaptive global governance and building an enabling ecosystem for development in the digital and green transition era.
PM Chinh affirmed that Vietnam is ready to engage in active, equal, and mutually beneficial cooperation with G20 members and the international community to build a peaceful, civilized, prosperous, sustainable, and inclusive world where no one is left behind.
