Australia offers Vietnamese Agent Orange/dioxin victims wheelchairs

(VOVworld)-The Western Australian Wheelchair for Kids charity organization has said it will send 160 wheelchairs to children suffering from the effects of Agent Orange (AO) in Vietnam as part of activities to mark 40 years of diplomatic ties. This was announced during the recent visit by Vietnamese Consul General in Perth, Le Viet Duyen to the donor’s site of Rotary Club of Scarborough, Western Australia. Rotary Club Project Manager Gordon Hudson said the donation reflects the local people’s sentiment to Vietnamese children. The Wheelchairs for Kids program was established in 1998 and has provided around 22,000 wheelchairs for poor and disabled children in more than 60 countries around the world, including 5,000 for Vietnamese children.
