PM head to WEF Dalian meeting in China

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his entourage on Monday left for World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Dalian city and a work trip in China from Tuesday to Thursday.

Themed "New Growth Horizons", the Dalian meeting is the second largest after the WEF Davos annual meeting, as it will be attended by 1,600 delegates.

The Prime Minister of Vietnam is one of the few heads of government invited to the event for two consecutive years, showing how the WEF and the international business community have appreciated Vietnam's position, role and contributions to global and regional growth.

The Prime Minister's trip is an opportunity for Vietnam to add its voice to new issues, trends, connotations, and driving forces for world economic growth, and exchange development mindset and national and global governance.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Chinh will be engaged in a busy schedule. This year, for the first time, he will give a speech at the opening plenary session with Chinese Premier Li Qiang and other countries’ leaders.

In addition, the Prime Minister will speak at discussion sessions, chair dialogues and discussions dedicated for Vietnam with the business community. He will share Vietnam's observations assessments, and perspectives on the world economy, prospects, opportunities, challenges, and the "big transitions" that are taking place in the world. 

PM Chinh will also convey the message of Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements and share policies, vision, and macroeconomic management experience of the Party and Government of Vietnam. He will also call for cooperation and synergy between WEF and partners, especially in artificial intelligence (AI), science and technology and innovation.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will have bilateral talks and meetings with senior Chinese leaders.
