(VOVworld) – The Banking Vietnam 2015 conference under the theme “Leveraging modern technology to transform innovative Vietnam banking services" opened on Tuesday in Hanoi.

Nguyen Toan Thang, deputy governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam (SBV) said: "Viet Nam's banking activities are mostly performed in cities, and are largely unavailable in the countryside, where 70 per cent of the population lives. Banks have not taken advantage of cross-border banking services based on growth in trade, education, training, and tourism. The conference will address banking change drivers, the latest developments in banking and banking technology, and propose some new solutions."
