(VOVworld) – The new bridge Ben Thuy 2 linking Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, opened to traffic today/ on Friday.

Speaking at the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said that the second bridge at Ben Thuy is highly significant, as it links two places with a rich revolutionary tradition. The bridge is not only strategically important for  National Highway 1A, but it will also help the local economy to attract investment and protect the environment. It will kick start local socio-economic development and ensure security in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces and the North Central region. Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung: "National Highway 1A has been continuously upgraded over the years. However, the new Ben Thuy bridge and road from Vinh city to Ha Tinh will make a great difference to National Highway 1A, the country’s main road for economies, security and national defence".
