(VOVworld) - The 37 years of liberation and 20 years of re-establishment of Binh Thuan province was celebrated on Thursday in the city of Phan Thiet. Speaking at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized that Binh Thuan needs to uphold its revolutionary tradition, and together with the rest of the country, successfully carry out the resolutions of the 11th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Nguyen Xuan Phuc said:"Binh Thuan needs to focus on change, and adjust its plan to develop its copper industry and to promote its full potential during the development process. Firstly, the province needs to develop maritime economy and it is essential to turn Phan Thiet into a modern city. The province should also prioritize developing a better quality work force so the region can prosper."

On the occasion, many cultural activities also took place in Phan Thiet city.
