Boris Johnson to shut down Parliament again next week
(VOVWORLD) - After a recent high court’s ruling that the Prime Minister’s suspension of Parliament was unlawful, Boris Johnson has announced that he is asking for a second shutdown next Tuesday, October 8, according to the Prime Minister’s office.

Johnson said a new session will begin on October 14 with a Queen’s speech, which will establish a legislative agenda. He said the planned stoppage, which will be for “the shortest time possible,” is to prepare for the pomp and spectacle of a Queen’s speech.
Johnson’s first Parliament suspension early last month had been planned for five weeks.
