Cinematic releases typically get their trailers before the official premier. However, the trailer for “Peach Blossom, Pho, and Piano”, a film about wartime in Hanoi, was launched after it caused a “ticket frenzy” over the past few days.

Written and directed by Phi Tien Son, the film is inspired by the 60-night-long battle of the Hanoi army and people, whose motto was “Determined to Die So That the Nation Can Live.”

The film relates a love story of a young couple, ahead of the battle to protect the capital city in the winter of 1946. With both a romantic and heroic theme, it portrays the beauty and devotions of Hanoians before the fierce battle.

Staring Doan Quoc Dam, Thuy Linh, People’s Artist Trung Hieu, Meritorious Artist Tran Luc, Anh Tuan, Thien Hung, and singer Tuan Hung, the film has become a surprise box office hit at the National Cinema Center.

According to audience reviews, the story strikes an emotional chord with the highlights being the cast’s performance and the beautiful shooting angles.

In addition to the National Cinema Center, Beta Cinemas and Cinestar Vietnam have confirmed to screen the film.
