(VOVworld) – The UK will help Iraq liberate areas occupied by the Islamic State.

British Defence Secretary Michael Fallon told Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi in Baghdad on Wednesday that the UK will provide Iraq with weapons and send British officers to Iraq to train Iraqi troops fighting terrorism.
London is discussing with the anti-IS coalition ways to train Iraqi soldiers at training centres inside and near Baghdad. Al-Abadi said the collaboration between Iraqi tribes and government forces will play a key role in the fight against the IS in northern and western Baghdad.
