Both sides will discuss cooperation under the Action Program to realize the Comprehensive Partnership for the 2023-2027 period, adopted during Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s official visit to Brunei in February 2023.

The visit provides an opportunity to strengthen cooperation in key areas such as politics and diplomacy, defense and security, energy, the Halal sector, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges. It demonstrates the high regard and strong friendship that Brunei attaches to Vietnam as a trusted partner in ASEAN.

For Vietnam, hosting the Sultan contributes to implementing the Party and State’s foreign policy that values relations with ASEAN countries, strengthens multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Brunei, and promotes peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region.
