(VOVworld) – A  meeting to celebrate the 40^th anniversary of Vietnam and Australia diplomatic ties was held at the Hanoi Opera House on Saturday with an extravagant performance by Bangarra Dance Theatre, Australia’s leading Indigenous dance theater group.

Australian Ambassador Hugh Borrowman said the celebration shows the increasing development of bilateral ties. Vietnamese Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh said the Vietnam – Australia friendship has stood the test of time and flourished. “I strongly believe that based on the good achievements and the consensus between the two governments and peoples, the Vietnam – Australia comprehensive partnership will soar to a new height. It will serve the interest of our people and contribute to international peace, stability, cooperation, and development", said Minister Minh.
