Central Military Commission asked to maintain peace, stability for national development

(VOVWORLD) - The Central Military Commission convened its 3rd conference on Thursday to view military and national defense activities in 2021 and set out tasks for 2022.

Party General Secretary and Secretary of the Central Military Commission Nguyen Phu Trong, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the event.

In his address, the Party leader asked delegates to contribute to the review report and discuss orientations to realize tasks for next year and the whole tenure. Mr. Trong said it’s important to make prompt forecast and evaluation of the situation in the region and the world as well as opportunities and challenges in realizing the military and defense tasks. He said the army needs to be combat-ready to firmly safeguard the nation and maintain peace and stability for national construction and development.
