States and parties to conflict should comply with their obligations under international law and UN resolutions to protect civilians and essential infrastructure, as well as to create conditions for safe and unhindered humanitarian assistance, said Giang.

The diplomat urged countries to strengthen climate action to prevent climate change disasters and their possible humanitarian consequences through establishing early warning systems and strengthening resilience with the participation of local communities.
He also called for closer partnerships between countries, relevant UN mechanisms and international humanitarian organizations to provide the most effective humanitarian assistance to people in affected areas.
The Ambassador recalled Vietnam’s international humanitarian relief efforts in the Gaza Strip, Ukraine, and Myanmar, said the country would continue to support those affected by humanitarian crises around the world.
