A press conference in Hanoi on Friday focused on China’s internal and external affairs policies following the first session of China’s 13th National People’s Congress, as well as the development of Vietnam-China relations.

Ms. Yin said China believes in the national development future under the leadership of General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President Xi Jinping. She added China will continue its intensive reform and strive to complete the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects by 2020.

Diplomat Yin talked about China’s relations with Vietnam: “China always attaches importance to relations with Vietnam, a close neighbor. After the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping chose Vietnam as the first country to visit. China’s State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi also came to Vietnam on his first visit to a foreign country after taking office. Those two visits demonstrate that China treasures relations with the Vietnamese Party and State”.
